It’s coming up to four months since I started this blog and my Infatuated by Beauty Instagram feed. Not that I would say I am inundated by requests for my opinions on products, but the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel is the one product I have been asked about the most.

Beloved by lots of the British YouTubers and a firm favourite among many of the IG skincare community, this gel-to-oil cleanser is fairly well priced at £29.50 (as far as luxury skincare goes) and I can totally understand the high-levels of interest in it.

Birthday hauling: NIOD & The Ordinary

The beginning of October saw my birthday – the final year of my twenties *weeps into tea*.

I don’t know what it is about my birthday but it makes me feel really spendy. And I give myself the best gifts! I think it’s because I start thinking about what I want, then I end up wanting way more than I can actually ask people for as presents, so I just buy it all for myself.

Let’s start at the beginning, a very good place to start

Cleansers are my jam.

If you had told me five years ago that my skin would be defined by something that stays on for less than a few minutes, I wouldn’t have believed it.

As someone who has always been breakout prone, had acne and was on Roaccutane, I always judge the condition of my skin by the number of spots I have. Once they go away I start looking at other things, but only when I am blemish free.

I love a cleanser’s ability to immediately calm my skin and calm my senses. There is nothing more luxurious to me than a good-old long cleanse. I tailor my cleanser choice to my mood and love how different textures and scents can cater to my needs. I just don’t get that from other parts of my routine – even the oils.
