Indie Lee’s Brightening Cleanser is one of those products that has developed cult status among the skincare community pretty darned quickly. Named by Chris of Tophcam as his favourite cleanser of all time, I’ll admit this one is outside my comfort zone. Not in any way an oil based cleanser, something like this would never usually peak my interest, but such is the wide spread love for this product I needed to give it a go.
There’s something about packaging that just gets you, isn’t there? It was 100% the packaging that drew my attention to Herbivore Botanicals when I first saw the Blue Tansy mask pop up on The Beauty Bloss’ instagram feed. It’s clean and minimalist, at the same time looking high-end and luxurious.
I started to see the Blue Tansy BHA appear in more and more places with rave reviews, and after a while I decided it deserved a place in my stash. Along with this mask, I picked up the Winter Glow Kit ( I think this was limited addition), which featured the Brighten mask, Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water, Orchid facial oil roller and the Coco Rose lip polish and conditioner.
I’m going to talk to you specifically about the masks (the Rose water is lovely though).
It’s coming up to four months since I started this blog and my Infatuated by Beauty Instagram feed. Not that I would say I am inundated by requests for my opinions on products, but the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel is the one product I have been asked about the most.
Beloved by lots of the British YouTubers and a firm favourite among many of the IG skincare community, this gel-to-oil cleanser is fairly well priced at £29.50 (as far as luxury skincare goes) and I can totally understand the high-levels of interest in it.
But for me, it is highly overrated. Continue reading “Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel”
Apologies for the lack of blog posts. I have photos taken for so many posts, but with Christmas and then being sick for the best part of three weeks, I just haven’t had the brainpower to sit down and write!
Anyway – hair.
One of my best friends once shared her mum’s beauty advice with me – spend as much as you can possibly afford on the best skincare. Hair? Go cheap and cheerful.
I have to admit, while I have always been on-board with the first part, a childhood of limp, greasy hair has meant I am equally keen on discovering products that are going to give me healthy, shiny, voluminous locks.
This post takes a look at some of my favourites from the past few months. I also recently got my hands (finally!) on some products from the Ouai line. More to come on those! Continue reading “Current Haircare Favourites”
Artemis, Artemis, Artemis. Where do I start. I have a love hate relationship with this product. The low point being when I tried to return it because it frustrated me so much, the high point when I panic bought a back-up as soon as I heard it was being discontinued. But love it I do.
(Now I’ve said that, I’m not entirely sure why I am writing a review of a product that is being discontinued… but please! Read on…)
